The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Sovereign Collection

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Sovereign CollectionThis set of five Sovereigns is the ideal tribute to The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and to the beautiful renditions of the royal effigies and St George by acclaimed artists and sculptors.

As a special tribute to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee The Royal Mint is proud to present a collection of five gold Sovereigns struck during Her Majesty’s 60-year reign. They bring together all four royal portraits with the one-year-only reverse design of St George and the dragon for the Diamond Jubilee Sovereign.

Each of the four coin portraits of The Queen represents its own particular period in her long reign, with the Sovereign dated 1957 bearing Her Majesty’s first coinage portrait by Mary Gillick; the 1979 Sovereign featuring Arnold Machin’s royal effigy; the 1985 Sovereign featuring Raphael Maklouf’s portrait; Ian Rank-Broadley’s on the Sovereign of 1998; and Paul Day’s rendition of St George and the dragon on the reverse of the 2012 Sovereign.
