The perfect way to remember the year

Six coins struck for the important anniversaries and events of 2014

Launched in 2013 and hugely popular, this set contains all six UK commemorative issues from the official Commonwealth Games 50p to the elegant Queen Anne £5 coin. The coins are all struck to our unrivalled Proof standard and presented in a display case with a booklet that takes you behind the scenes of the selected coin designs. Only 7,500 are available.

What’s included?

2014 CommemorativeThe centrepiece of your set is the most elegant £5 crown paying tribute to the life and legacy of Queen Anne, 300 years after her death. It was designed by Mark Richards FRBS, creator of the £5 crown struck for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

A £2 coin marks the outbreak of the First World War – the first coin in a five-year series that will take us on a journey from outbreak to Armistice. It features the image of Lord Kitchener in his now iconic ‘Your country needs you!’ pose.

A second £2 coin celebrates the 500th anniversary of Trinity House, an organisation that has tirelessly served Britain’s mariners since the time of Henry VIII.

Two £1 coins complete a series begun in 2013. They bear beautiful floral emblems – the flax and shamrock for Northern Ireland and the bluebell and thistle for Scotland.

The official Glasgow 2014 50p has a dynamic design of a cyclist and athlete above the Saltire of Scotland, completing the commemorative editions.

Your coins are struck to flawless Royal Mint Proof standard and presented in our award winning case for you to gift or display them.

A booklet that tells the behind the scenes story of how themes and designs are chosen, and explains the designers’ inspiration is the final touch in this must-have presentation of the coins of 2014.  Limited edition print based on the artist’s original drawings available with this set.

Semi-worth it

Rated 4 out of 5

The box is absolutely excellent and presentation is practically faultless (except I can't easily access the rear of the coins). The pound coins look a bit generic for proof coins, but that could just be the £1 coins themselves, as i've noticed they're really weak for some reason. The 50p and £5 coins are absolutely excellent and are the best thing about the set. The £2s are decent, too. £65 is a little steep, but all in all, probably worth it.

Absolutely good idea for gift and collection. The packing is nice and delicate. The brochures inside are printed in high quality paper. The coins are put in a transparent plastic case ,which is good for display. And coins are beautiful and of high quality look.

There's no hole in this mint

Once again the annual commemorative coin set is of the usual highest standard, the pressings are perfect and those that labour on them can be proud of themselves. I have been collecting annual sets for over 15 years, and they have increased in excellence as the time has gone on. There is only one way for them to go Upwards!!
