What a royal year 2013 has turned out to be – the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation, 60 years since her first coins and now, perhaps the happiest moment of all, a royal birth. It is a year to celebrate and such is its importance that we have re-issued our popular UK 2013 Definitive Set as a limited Royal Baby Edition. All eight of the definitive circulating UK coins from 2013 are presented in a specially commissioned set as The Royal Mint commemorates a royal birth for the very first time.
As the nation welcomes the news of the safe arrival of the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, we are delighted to release a limited Royal Baby edition of our popular 2013 UK Definitive Coin Set. This is the very first time we have marked a Royal Birth, and this set is officially approved by the Palace. It contains eight of the UK’s circulating coins from the 1p to the £1, featuring Matthew Dent’s shield design, along with the classic £2 ‘technology’ coin. All the coins are dated 2013, and are all struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard – mint condition, for that added sparkle.
