How do you find something special for someone who’s only just arrived in to the world? This is the perfect gift to celebrate the year of birth of a tiny loved one in 2011. This outstanding collection contains the full range of circulating coins in the UK from the 1p to the £2, from 2011 –truly marking the year of baby’s birth.
Take the chance to make this a gift in a million by adding all of baby’s personal details to the cute, contemporary illustrated gift pack.
Being legal tender coins of the UK, all eight coins in the set feature the faithful likeness of the Queen created by the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
New designs for the circulating coins from the 1p to the £1 were unveiled in 2008. Celebrating Britain’s ancient royal heritage, they focus entirely on the shield of the Royal Arms, a powerful symbol of monarchy used on the coinage since the reign of Edward III (1327-1377). The 1p to the 50p reveal the shield when arranged correctly while the £1 coin features the shield in its entirety.
