The Queen’s Reign Collection

Devoted to Your Service

As the Platinum Jubilee celebrations get underway with shared lunches, street parties and concerts, we are honouring some of the most remarkable aspects of the longest reign in British history. On her 21st birthday, Her Majesty The Queen, then a princess, promised to devote her life to the service of her country and the Commonwealth; it is a sense of purpose that has defined her reign.

Featuring reverse designs by the Irish artist and illustrator Patrick James (P. J.) Lynch, the coins in this limited collection of three UK coins honours The Queen’s contribution to society and the common good. Each of the artist’s designs feature The Queen’s iconic signature as a symbol of her personal commitment to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The first coin in the collection focuses on Her Majesty’s awards and honours, which is a system that recognises individual service in many forms. The second coin highlights Her Majesty’s work with charities and as a patron, whilst the third and final coin celebrates the Commonwealth, a ‘family of nations’ she has championed throughout her reign.

Each coin is accompanied by packaging that explores the inspiration behind its reverse design and the theme it represents.
