School Visits

What do we mean by coin design?

Why are coins different colours, shapes and sizes?

Who designs coins and how?

What is counterfeiting?

How does The Royal Mint use technology today to keep coins secure now and for the future?

School visits to The Royal Mint offer a wealth of learning opportunities for your pupils. In addition to the group visit to the exhibition and factory tour, we offer fun and engaging workshops for Key Stage 2 pupils aged 7-11.

Primary school visits

For information about primary school visits, please view our leaflet for 2016-17 here.

Secondary school visits

Secondary school groups are welcome at the Royal Mint Visitor Centre, the perfect place to explore many aspects of engineering, design technology, art, history, business and culture.

Why not use an app like Socrative to create a quiz trail tailored to your pupils that they can complete on their way around the exhibition?
