In 2018 The Royal Mint joins the Royal Air Force (RAF) to mark its centenary. For this important anniversary, five official United Kingdom £2 coins will be struck, honouring the bravery of the members of the RAF and celebrating some of the most famous aircraft in the world. The first coin in the series celebrates the RAF itself with a badge design, followed by four more coins featuring some of the RAF’s iconic aircraft – the pride of the skies.
