Free Classroom Resources
The Royal Mint Museum provides free classroom resources for teachers.
Coins in the Classroom is an exciting new resource from the Royal Mint Museum, designed to allow teachers and pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3 to explore the world of coins –their history, design and manufacture – through creative activities tailored to the National Curriculum.
Each of the 6 lessons in this pack comes complete with teachers’ notes, suggested lesson plans, fact files, work sheets and whiteboard resource. Covering Maths, Literacy, Science, Art and Design, Design and Technology and Geography, each lesson uses coins as a starting point from which pupils can learn about these often over-looked objects in their pockets.
Coins in the Classroom can be downloaded direct…
...and a free CD containing all the resources can be requested from the Museum’s learning manager: firstname.lastname@example.org / 01443 623337
