Of all the coins in the old pounds, shillings and pence system, the penny had the longest continuous history tracing its origins to the Anglo-Saxon kings. The Royal Mint has obtained a limited number of Victorian Pennies featuring the affectionately named Old Head portrait by Thomas Brock on the obverse and Leonard Wyon's seated figure of Britannia on the reverse. Struck between 1895 and 1901, each penny is housed in an informative display folder.
