The silver Proof is struck in .999 fine silver, Australian legal tender status and has a strict issue limit. The new one ounce silver Proof coin?s reverse design depicts two mice on a bed of straw with pumpkins in the background. As well as an inscription and the Chinese character for ?mouse?, the design also incorporates the Perth Mint?s ?P? mintmark.

The obverse bears the effigy of Her Majesty The Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS, the 2008 year date and the monetary denomination.

Each coin is housed in a handsome red and black display case which is protected by an illustrated coloured outer sleeve depicting two mice. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity accompanies this enchanting silver Proof coin.
