Coin Specifications

Coins issued by the Royal Mint are produced to a very high standard. The specifications are exacting with strict controls being applied to ensure coins conform to the relevant Coinage Acts and Royal Proclamations. Tests are continually carried out during production and in addition to these internal tests, the Mint's work is subject to further tests carried out at the Trial of the Pyx.
